Confidentiality

All the practice staff are compelled to maintain patient confidentiality.

Confidentiality also extends to family members; therefore, medical information relating to you will not be divulged to a family member or any third party without your written consent.

You might be receiving care from other people as well as by the practice. So we can all work together for your benefit it is sometimes necessary to share some information about you. We only ever use, or pass on, information about you if people have a genuine need for it, in your own and everybody’s interest. Whenever we can, we shall remove details which identify you. Anyone who receives information from us is also under legal duty to keep it confidential.
